Kim and Stacey were best friends out on a walk through the usual trail they take every evening when they were suddenly stopped in their shoes by a crow. “I am so hungry right now! I haven’t eaten in days! Do you have any food to share?” Kim glared at the bird and then threw a pebble she found on the ground. She laughed as the bird cried. Just then, Stacey looked at the bird poorly and took a handful of sunflower seeds from her purse. They then looked back at Kim and said, “Kim, that was rude of you! Everything good or bad, will come back to you like a boomerang!” Kim chuckled. “You really think that is true?” The crow saw this and then rushed home to his family on a tree. “Mom! Dad! I saw these girls, and one girl named Stacey was very nice and gave me some seeds to eat! I am so grateful and inspired by her, so I feel like giving kindness to others too! Although I must warn you about the other girl. She was very mean and through a pebble at me.” The crow exclaimed as he showed the bruise to his parents. “Oh no! Then you must show that girl a lesson!” The little crow nodded and flew to an elephant. “Elephant! Elephant! Two girls were on trail, but only one of them showed kindness, so I must pass on the kindness to you! But I must tell you about the other girl who was very mean and must be taught a lesson!” The crow then shows the elephant a big basket full of fruits, shrubs, flowers and other goodies. “Thank you so much! I must pass on this kindness you gave me!” The elephant ran to a fox, collecting a variety of berries and meat options for the fox’s gift. “Fox! Fox! I have a gift for you!” The Elephant then gives a box full of the collected berries and meats. “Thank you so much for this gift! But I must ask, why suddenly?” The fox asks. The elephant then replies, “Two girls had gone on a walk and stumbled upon our friend Crow, but only one of them showed kindness. So, Crow passed on the kindness to me, and I want to pass it on to you!” The fox then asks, “What should we do about the other girl who wasn’t kind?” “We shall teach her a lesson!” The elephant exclaims. The fox had a great idea. She starts making her way down to the neighborhood where the two girls live and told the whole neighborhood, “Neighborhood! Neighborhood! There are two girls living here, but only one showed great kindness to a crow, who passed it on to an elephant, who passed it on to me. I want to pass the kindness to you, who will pass it back to that kind girl! I must warn you though, the kind girl’s friend wasn’t very nice and needs to be taught a lesson!” Hearing this, the neighbor shouts with approval and marches down to Stacey’s and Kim’s house. “We are looking for Stacey and Kim!” The neighbor exclaimed. “That’s us! What do you need?” The neighborhood then explains what happened between the girls and the animals and then gives Stacey and big bowl of riches, sweets, and gold. “Thank you so much! All this for helping a crow!” Everyone then turns to Kim. “Kim, you were not a good person! So you don’t get anything but hate from the whole neighborhood!” Kim froze. “But that isn’t fair!” “See, every good or bad thing you do comes back to you like a boomerang!” Stacey said.
Moral of Story: Every good and bad thing you do will eventually come back to you.
